Top Performance for Luxury Hotels in the Middle East


Top performer: Grand Hyatt Dubai

According to the latest results of a study by the auditing and consulting company "Deloitte Middle East", the Middle East has once again come out ahead in hotel performance with 75.3% occupancy rate. According to Thierry Bertin, the Hyatt Sales and Marketing Vice President, the reasons for this positive development trend lie in an increase in demand for luxury accommodation in the region.

On the basis of an agreement concluded in 2008 between the Hyatt group and “Abu Dhabi National Hotels”, the hotel chain intends to construct a new resort on Saadiyat Island to be completed by 2010. Surrounded by a golf course that is unique worldwide and by nine kilometres of fine sandy beach, it will be the ninth Hyatt hotel in the Middle East, which will be followed in 2009 by two further resorts:  the “Park Hyatt Jeddah – Marina, Club & Spa” and the “Grand Hyatt Doha”.
