Tourist Attractions
1. Cultural District on Saadiyat-Island
The cultural district is intended to lie at the heart of the new, high class tourist destination of Saadiyat. Gensler Associates, based in the USA, has developed a master plan for Saadiyat Island, which will be implemented by the Tourism Development Investment Company (TDIC) by 2018.
The cultural and arts district will hold a total of five large cultural institutes:
- Sheikh Zayed National Museum
- Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum
- Louvre Abu Dhabi
- Maritime Museum
- Performing Arts Centre
The museums will be complemented by numerous other facilities and buildings, such as the Office Park, the Biennale Park with pavilions for art and cultural events, academies of fine arts, a creative campus for art, architecture, music and theatre, the Abu Dhabi Art Biennale, the Abu Dhabi Arts Fair etc.

2. Saadiyat Park
Over a total area of 6 km2 one of the large recreation spaces on the island is being created: Saadiyat Park. In addition to luxurious low-rise residential buildings and 0.7 km2 of natural recreation area, an equestrian centre will also be located here. Saadiyat Park residents will be spoilt by a wonderful location directly on the coast and a breath-taking view of lagunas and lakes.
3. Saadiyat Beach
Saadiyat Beach offers pure recreation and nature. The original, white sand spreads over 9 km and is washed by the warm waters of the gulfstream. The turquoise water is the home of numerous sea creatures. The total area of 4.33 km2 serves as a breeding ground for the protected Hawksbill turtle. Especially impressive are the natural sand dunes on the beach, which turn every sunset into a special occasion.
To enjoy Saadiyat Beach you can choose between nine exclusive five-star hotels. Located directly on the beach, they offer stylish beach cafés and restaurants, as well as wellness centres and spas.
For golf aficionados, the legendary golfer, Gary Player, has dreamed up something very special: the Saadiyat Beach golf course. The very varied and mixed course borders a freshwater lake and a saltwater lake and thus also offers you the possible to watch dolphins in the gulfstream while playing golf.

4. South Beach
The South Beach is particularly interesting for families. A resort that has been especially designed and organised to meet the needs of parents and children offers the whole family a varied programme. The beach stretches over a total area of 2.68 km2.
Beach life is very diverse and lively thanks to the beach promenade with its restaurants and cafés. Relaxation and a lively range of leisure pursuits are not mutually exclusive here.

5. The Wetlands
The “Wetlands“ provides a contrast to the lively Saadiyat Beach. It surrounds the championship golf course area and the attendant luxury hotels and covers an area of 5.23 km2. To protect the natural landscape and to preserve its original state as far as possible, only a limited number of buildings have been allowed here, which will all be constructed to harmonise with nature.
The Wetlands also has its own ecology centre, which ensures an interesting look at the unique ecology of the island.
6. Al Marina
Saadiyat Island will have three yacht harbours and landing stages for more than 1,000 boats. The total harbour area covers 4.4 km2 and offers many boutiques and restaurants, as well as an impressive oceanarium.

The launch of Saadiyat island`s news website and to accompany this launch with various subjects all around the areas of Lifestyle and luxury represents a welcome challenge to us. Especially as Abu Dhabis` development has just begun we will get the chance to observe the rise of this ambitious plan of a new and highly significant cultural destination in the next years and further(more) possibly help forming it a little even virtually. Thus we are going to develop this medium gradually and next to general news and information we will give space to different ways of modern communication.
